Inside Out (2013)

One of the principal aims of my art is to deal with misperception. Many people lack the capacity to critique their beliefs, and this cognitive dissonance causes discord within themselves and with others. Inside Out, depicting the same event from physically incompatible viewpoints, shows the struggle involved in maintaining cognitive consistency: that is, matching external reality with internal perceptions of reality.
When installed the videos are projected simultaneously on adjacent walls side by side.
